North India & Nepal are still in COVID-19 lockdown
and people are dying...
not just from COVID-19, but primarily from
The CURRENT projected date for the lockdown to lift in North India and Nepal is March 2021.
Here's why they are starving ....
Most people seek employment as construction laborers, which has now halted because of Covid-19. They have no job therefore no money to buy food. They want to work but have been locked out by the pandemic. Their hands are tied and their families are starving ...
Many Elderly have been abandoned by their families. They make their way into the slums. There is no government assistance available for people in either of the above situations.
As of March 2021, people should be allowed to leave their homes, venturing out to search for work and thus provide food for their families.
Till then, your gifts are keeping them
$10,000 is needed to be raised to see us through to the projected lockdown lift. This will be enough to continue sending money, which is used to buy & cook food, providing 3 substantial meals a week to the very very poor, to avert starvation.
